Martín Echegaray

 

Martín started like many other successful paddle tennis professionals, with a tennis racket in his hands. Both he and his brother José Luis were very good tennis players in their adolescence and youth, and were among the first to discover paddle tennis in Argentina at the end of the 80s, and they did not hesitate to change the racket for the paddle paddle. In 1997 he began his career as a paddle and tennis coach simultaneously, until finally over the years, he turned 100% to paddle tennis.

 

• Professional padel player until 1996, having been top 5 of the Argentine professional paddle circuit for 5 years.

 

• Sports Director of the Club Encuentro, tennis and

paddle tennis (1997-2002, Ramos Mejía - Argentina).

 

• Director of the paddle and tennis areas of the Club Náutico Sevilla (2002 - 05, Seville - Spain).

 

• Simultaneously, between 2002 and 2004 he was the Argentine National Coach in the male branch for the Argentine Paddle Association.

 

 

• Technical Director of the Spanish Padel Federation between 2006 and 2017, having been the absolute male national selector between 2006 and 2013,

responsible for training, technification, registration
competition and development.

 

• Creator of multiple programs for the Spanish Paddle Federation , among which stand out: National Circuit for Minors, Women's and Paddle Program, Virtual Campus FEP, Unique Ranking, Impulse Program, Annual FEP Symposium , Homologations, Spanish Championship of Companies, incorporation of paddle tennis into the Transitory Period of official sports training and design of the paddle training plan, incorporation of paddle to the FOCO program -continuous training- of the Higher Sports Council.
