Guillermo has been linked to football since he was a child, since his father, also named Guillermo, was a professional soccer player who had an outstanding career as a striker , highlighting his time at Estudiantes de La Plata in the 1980s, where he won two championships in 82 and 83, the year in which he also reached the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores de América.

Accompanying his father through different clubs and fields in the country, Guillermo began to play soccer and from there soccer has been his life from the different facets in which he has lived it.

In 2001 he decided to start a new life in Spain. There he played in the clubs CUC Villalba, Galapagar, Leones de Castilla, Vicalvaro, CD Dosa.

He took his first steps as a coach at the Soccer School that his father Guillermo formed at the Club Círculo Deportivo de Nicanor Otamendi once he retired, starting to work with the smaller categories back in 1990 .

Once settled in Spain, he combined football with study and graduated as a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management in 2007.

Guillermo is a soccer project consultant, and after more than 15 years of experience as a coach, and added to his experience as a player and his studies, he was hired in 2012 by Real Madrid to carry out its program of creating a Soccer School with the philosophy of the merengue club in the Far East. Guillermo was in charge of developing the entire project and coordinating the day-to-day operations, which was recognized in 2015 by the Guinness Book of Records, as the largest Soccer School in the world with 2300 students.

More than 25 years of experience as a soccer coach in three different continents: South America (Argentina 9 years), Europe (Spain 9 years) Asia (China 4 years).

Today he continues to work on the Evergrande Project, working with groups of Chinese U16 players specially selected to develop in Spain, continuing the process of training young Chinese talents with a view to the 2026 World Cup.
