Santiago is part of a family of athletes. His father was a member of the Argentine hockey team that participated in the 1968 Mexico and Munich 1972 Olympic Games.

 

- In the beginning he began practicing javelin throw, rugby, soccer, ran cross country and practiced hockey.

 

- In 1994 he entered Cenard (National Center for High Performance in Sports) where he began to train and specialize in Decathlon.

 

- He studied in the United States , thanks to a scholarship for his athletic level, where he represented the University of Oregon , of which today he is part of the Hall of Fame.

 

- Champion in the South American Games in 1998 and 1999.

 

- National University Champion (NCAA) in the United States in 2001.

 

- Argentine representative at the University Olympic Games in Beijing, China, in 2001.

 

- Argentine representative in the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, where he won the 1500 meter test in his specialty, Decathlon.

 

- Santiago graduated in the United States with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Movement Science.

 

- Obtained a Master of Science in Human Physiology in 2008.

 

- Got the PhD in Integrative Physiology in 2010.

 

- Moved to Dallas, Texas to do a research on the mechanisms of shortening of respiration in obese people , until 2012.

 

- He has written dozens of publications in prestigious

 

He currently lives in Sarasota, United States, with his wife and two children.

Teacher: Evaluation of aptitudes and prescription of exercises, Laboratory techniques. As the only teacher in this class, he was responsible for all aspects of running a course. The objectives of the class were:
1) to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform advanced physical fitness assessments and prescribe exercise for diverse populations; 2) participate in laboratory tests and analyze test results; 3) identify the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) safety guidelines for prescription and exercise testing; 4) prepare for certification as an ACSM Health and Fitness Instructor, and 5) meet the requirements of the Professional Physical Fitness Training Program.

Professor of Human Physiology: in charge of teaching the cardiovascular physiology section of this higher course. I had to prepare and present the theoretical classes, develop work in class and prepare the exams given to the students.
